Architecture Writing Workshop is a platform for writers, practitioners, and academics—or anyone interested in writing—to explore and discuss issues impacting architecture as a discipline. We introduce editorial themes to instigate and frame a conversation in our contemporary discourse. We seek out voices to contribute to the conversation through essays, observations, and interviews. Our aim is to practice collectively through writing and explore the medium’s possibilities to engage the social, environmental, and political spheres surrounding architecture. The outcome of the collaboration between editors and the writers materializes in threads, each a starting point for an ongoing conversation. Each thread will remain open to responses or new thoughts, and will continue as a back-and-forth among editors, contributors, and readers. We are committed to representing diverse perspectives and to expanding access to our shared conversation across the discipline.
AWW is led by Pouya Khadem, Sebastián López Cárdozo, Mai Okimoto, and Lauren Phillips. Charles Weak leads AWW Crosstalk. Our editorial team also includes Catherine Pan. Graphic identity is by Luis Vassallo.
